…A Rite of Sacred Reciprocity
Again and again, clients new to offering paid healing services meet the same friction the moment they begin charging: the work with clients lands, a life visibly shifts, and when it is time to present the invoice or ask for payment… their hand falters. Discounts appear, payment is delayed, value is deflected. There may even be a tone of apology in the healers voice for having to ask. The behaviour is current reflecting an old resonance from one or more past lives. Its your nun karma being triggered.
Consider how many past lifetimes may have been shaped by cloisters and renunciation taken then (like the vow or poverty) can reawaken solemn vows—especially poverty—so subtly that they echo through today’s pricing pages and inboxes. You feel it in the instant of asking or receiving, a learned script tenses the chest and narrows the voice.
However, a vow is a choice point preserved in your subtle field. When you meet it with awareness, you can write a new commitment that lets your gifts circulate and live a life where you are financially sustained.
Here’s a simple way to meet that choice point today and spiral up.
Mini Practice: The Point of Choice (downloadable at LightTravels—from the site or the homepage at www.lighttravels.com)
- Name it. Title your moment “Point of Choice: Pricing” (or “Receiving,” “Asking,” etc.).
- Tell the truth. In the “problem/challenge” corner, write the charged lines you still hear: “I feel guilty charging what my service is worth.” “I’m uncomfortable around money.” “If I serve, I shouldn’t receive.”
- Set intention. In “My Intention,” write clear, present-tense statements: “I take a Vow of Prosperity and Plenitude.” “I receive fair, joyful payment for my work.” “My pricing reflects the value and impact of my service.”
- Choose. Place a finger on the center point and say aloud: “I choose to spiral up.”
- Act. Before the day ends, name your fair price and ask one client to pay it.
Notice what shifts—inside your chest, in your voice, in the response you receive. A vow made in reverence can be remade in reverence. How do you want your next ask to feel in your body?
I’d love to hear what happens when you try it—what you titled, which intention rang true, and the first fair price you asked for. Share your story and include one line about how your body felt before and after.
Download the free Point of Choice exercise here: https://lighttravels.com (you’ll find it on the home page). If you share it with your circle, tell me what shifted.
Will you try it this week and report back one concrete change?
With love and light
